Why the world order is changing?

Physical force is the ultimate law. No one disputes the laws of physics, like Gravity or ballistic. These laws work regardless of your beliefs.

If a Lion and Hyina dispute who owns a caracas, it is clear that the animal with more power is the true owner. Power is the ultimate arbiter in any dispute in nature among all animals, including humans.

The problem with using power to resolve all disputes is that it's too destructive. The lion may lose an eye even if it's stronger than the hyina.

That's why humans came up with laws. To resolve disputes in a less expensive and less destructive way.

But in order for laws to work, it needs to be trusted. The institutions that stand behind it need to be trustworthy. And these institutions should have the power to use force in case one side refuses to accept the ruling.

What happens today is that the post WWII system, Pax Americana, is collapsing.

The Institutions that were supposed to be the arbitrary, are no longer trusted. I have zero trust in the UN or the ICC. Zero. Too corrupt and distorted.

And they have no power behind them. They can pass whatever resolution they want. But they have no power to enforce it.

The US used to stand behind them. And we saw that in the Gulf War in 1991.

What are the reasons the post WWII world order is collapsing?

1. The institutions became too corrupt and not trustworthy.
2. The US is no longer the dominant super power. It's getting weaker, and it's world order is being challenged by new rising powers. (BRICS)

3. The US no longer wants to be the world's cop.
