Another illusion of "we won't be replaced" has been shattered. To be blunt, this is an inevitable result of distorted incentive mechanisms—when the revenue model cannot keep up with technological evolution, layoffs become the only equilibrium in the game.

ngl this round of layoffs is indeed harsh, but I think saying that front-end developers are completely unwanted is a bit absolute... mainly because these companies haven't kept up with the AI trend. skill anxiety is real, but the industry isn't doomed.
