Ethereum treasury company SharpLink Gaming announced that it has deployed and staked approximately 170 million USD worth of ETH on the Ethereum Layer 2 network Linea. Previously, the company stated that it plans to stake up to 200 million USD worth of ETH on Linea to achieve higher risk-adjusted returns. As the second-largest publicly listed ETH treasury company, SharpLink currently holds about 864,800 ETH (worth nearly 2.7 billion USD). Notably, the company is also a member of the Linea Consortium, with Chairman Joseph Lubin being the founder and CEO of Consensys. Linea is a Layer 2 network incubated by Consensys. Since the token launch in September, Linea's TVL has declined approximately 89% from a high of about 1.64 billion USD to 185.7 million USD. (Decrypt)
