Many people immediately delegate their WAL tokens to the node with the highest returns, but I think this approach is actually quite risky.

Honestly, looking at APY alone is not enough. Walrus uses a DPoS mechanism, which means what? If the node encounters operational issues—data loss or failing storage challenges—your principal could be directly penalized (Slashing), and the extra earnings from a few points are instantly swallowed up.

My approach is this: first, analyze the node's historical data. Has this node missed signatures in the past several Epochs? How is the hardware redundancy? In decentralized networks, high returns are often tied to unstable architectures, so this logic needs to be carefully considered.

Instead of gambling your principal for a few percentage points of yield, I prefer to choose an established node operator that, although with slightly lower returns, maintains a 100% uptime rate over the long term. The risk and reward balance should be carefully calculated.

Another one teaching me how to store coins, but you can't believe everything this guy says. Slashing does exist, but nodes that are truly easy to be penalized would have already died, right? I just want to ask, do 100% uptime nodes really exist? Feels like it's all just bragging. High returns = high risk, that's true, but don't scare people into only aiming for 1% returns. Honestly, choosing nodes is like gambling; who really understands the details of hardware redundancy? It seems stable but is actually a gamble—just betting on different things. No matter how you choose, it's bound to be a loss, right?

Really, chasing high APY is playing with fire. A single slashing can wipe out the principal completely. You can't calculate it that way. Honestly choose stable nodes, don't think about grabbing those few points of profit. That's how I've managed to survive until today.

Really, too many people blindly chase high returns, and as a result, a single slashing can wipe out their entire investment. That APY can't make up for it at all. Honestly, choosing a node is the same as choosing an exchange. Stability always comes first, and high returns are always a trap.

Once again, people are mesmerized by APY. Cry only when Slashing happens; I've been saying that high returns are playing with fire. --- DPoS works like this—greedy costs can sometimes be really hardcore. --- Why is it so hard to understand that stability > yield? --- I just watch a bunch of people chasing high returns, and then a missed signature directly results in zero, which is quite ironic. --- Node stability must be clearly listed; otherwise, it's really easy to get exploited. --- Honestly, it's a mindset issue—always thinking about getting rich quickly, but what’s the result? --- Old node operators may earn less, but their sleep quality is definitely good. --- Most people are too lazy to check historical data, serves them right. --- On the path to decentralization, stability is truly more valuable than anything else.

Wow, another story of chasing high yields and getting slashed is about to unfold.

Really, those greedy points that profit from slashing need to be taught a lesson. I've seen too many cases.
