When incentives pour in, the signal-to-noise ratio collapses. X's timeline? Drowning in AI-generated garbage. Base app? Basically unreadable at this point. Farcaster's holding up better—their algorithm actually filters out most of the trash. But even that's starting to show cracks. The real challenge isn't scaling, it's keeping communities from turning into landfills. We need platforms that reward quality over volume, mechanisms that actually prioritize human curation over algorithmic amplification.

Really not, Farcaster is starting to pull ahead now. No matter how powerful the algorithm is, it can't stop bad money from driving out good money.

Algorithm One's open rewards are over, now all platforms are just a pile of trash.

Honestly, once the incentives started, the entire ecosystem became rotten. I don't even bother with X anymore, it's just pure trash.

Really, the more incentives there are, the more trash there is. X can't even be scrolled anymore. Farcaster is okay but won't last long either. The key still depends on manual review; the algorithm can't save it at all.

The content is too lengthy, but this statement hits the nail on the head.

The incentive mechanism collapsed as soon as it was launched, which was clearly stated in the Token economics white paper. X's current state is simply the ultimate anti-example of the signal-to-noise ratio. Farcaster's algorithm filtering is well done, but this is only a delay. If governance proposals do not change the incentive structure, it will face the same fate sooner or later.

The incentive causes explosions as soon as garbage arrives, making X unbearable to watch.

The incentives are all trash right from the start, this is ridiculous.

Algorithm One's open rewards are all trash; no matter how strong Farcaster is, it can't hold up.
