Have you ever thought that data storage could be as layered and deep as peeling an onion?

Walrus Protocol is such a project—a decentralized storage network built on the Sui blockchain, specifically optimized for large files in the AI era. It uses distributed Blob storage technology to encrypt and shard massive unstructured data such as AI training sets, generated videos, and model weights, dispersing them across nodes worldwide. The benefits of this approach are obvious: guaranteed high availability, stronger resistance to censorship, permanent proof of data integrity, and no more worries about loss or tampering.

Compared to traditional cloud services that often face single points of failure and exorbitant costs, Walrus’s solution is much cheaper and faster. On-chain verification references ensure data authenticity, and users can enjoy low-cost, efficient storage with just simple uploads.

The WAL token is at the core of the ecosystem. With a total supply of 5 billion tokens, it covers multiple uses including paying fees, incentivizing nodes, and governance voting. The stability mechanism prevents the token price from being overly affected by market fluctuations, and holders can also enjoy usage discounts and voting rights for protocol upgrades—this design truly makes participants owners of the ecosystem.

As the AI wave arrives, ordinary developers finally have the chance to bypass monopolies and build their own data markets. Walrus enables users to break free from centralization and explore their own data value. This storage revolution has only just begun.

Peeling onions? Sounds complicated. I just want to know if there's any risk of跑路 (跑路 risk) being uncovered. The Walrus thing sounds really appealing, but the Sui ecosystem is still in early stages. Betting on this isn't as reliable as just buying BTC. Another 5 billion tokens, I've seen enough of these schemes—it's pretty much the same old韭菜 (chives) cutting套路 (套路). I believe cloud services are cheap, but is distributed storage reliable? We still need to wait until people actually use it to find out. Bypassing giant monopolies? Uh... sounds good, but in the end, it's just being controlled by new centralized entities. I don't quite understand this kind of storage. What if all the nodes run away? No one has clearly explained this. WAL holders have voting rights. Sounds democratic, but in reality, it's probably just the big coin holders calling the shots. Everyone talks about storage revolution, but I'm more concerned whether this token will first wipe out my principal. Honestly, storage does need innovation, but how long Walrus can last is really hard to say.

Distributed storage has long needed a revolution, having been exploited by big cloud providers for too long. --- Another new concept on Sui? Can the WAL token stability mechanism really hold up? --- But the affordability really hit me; cloud service fees are truly outrageous. --- I buy into the logic of anti-censorship and data proofing, but how well will the ecosystem cold start? --- Finally, someone has made storage sharding work; it was long overdue. --- How is the node incentive model set up? Could it be another "mining bubble about to burst"? --- The storage demand for AI training data is so high, it’s definitely a window of opportunity. --- 50 billion WAL sounds like a lot; how will inflation pressure be controlled? --- Giving voting rights to holders is good; much better than projects that only cut leeks.

Oh no, the Sui ecosystem is coming up with something new again? The name Walrus is ridiculously good Can WAL tokens be listed on exchanges? Is it still possible to enter now? Decentralization of storage should have happened long ago; the giants have eaten too much By the way, will a supply of 5 billion cause dilution? It depends on the subsequent release mechanism

I have to say, the idea of Walrus is quite interesting. Finally, someone is thinking about building reliable storage infrastructure for the AI era. Wait, will 5 billion WAL really not cause a dump? I've heard this decentralized storage story quite a few times, but the key still depends on how many people actually use it. The Sui ecosystem has been very active lately, but there are also many competitors in the storage space. Can Walrus stand out? By the way, will cloud storage giants directly cut prices to stifle projects like this? That’s the most realistic threat. Having a stable token mechanism is good, but combining these two concepts always feels a bit risky. Normal developers building data markets? It really depends on the operational costs of nodes. Don’t let it turn into another seemingly beautiful story.

Peeling onions? Haha, sounds good, but the key is whether the WAL token can take off. There are more storage projects on Sui. Can they break through this time? I believe it's cheap, but are the data really secure, bro? Total supply of 5 billion tokens, inflation pressure is quite significant.
