He was recently captured in Mexico and extradited back to the United States. On Friday, U.S. authorities arrested Canadian former snowboarder Ryan Wedding and apprehended a drug lord suspected of using cryptocurrency networks to transfer and launder his criminal proceeds. Ryan Wedding was previously listed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives for alleged involvement in cocaine trafficking and murder. According to the FBI, Ryan Wedding has ties to the Sinaloa drug cartel and was sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control in November.
