BitMine continues to buy crypto: Strengthening Ethereum position with 102,259 new ETH
As the digital asset market shows clear signs of recovery from the end of 2025, BitMine—one of the largest crypto asset management organizations—continues to actively buy cryptocurrencies. According to an announcement in mid-December 2025, the company added 102,259 ETH in just seven days, bringing its total Ethereum holdings to nearly 4 million ETH.
Additional Crypto Purchase Plans Reflect Long-Term Confidence
BitMine’s crypto buying activity is not a temporary reaction but reflects strong confidence in Ethereum’s long-term value. According to Thomas “Tom” Lee—Chairman of BitMine and veteran analyst at Fundstrat—the crypto market has officially moved past the prolonged downturn following the sharp correction in October last year. Mr. Lee states that recent cryptocurrency price volatility has stabilized significantly, creating favorable conditions for long-term investors like BitMine to continue accumulating.
This increase in Ethereum holdings coincides with a sense of urgency in expanding crypto positions. It also affirms experts’ views that ETH will continue to play a central role in the global blockchain ecosystem, especially in DeFi applications and smart contracts.
Asset Structure and Operational Scale of BitMine
As of the announcement, BitMine manages total assets worth approximately $13.2 billion, with Ethereum occupying a strategic priority. In addition to 3.96 million ETH, the company’s portfolio includes 193 Bitcoin, about $38 million in shares of Eightco Holdings (a Nasdaq-listed company), and nearly $1 billion in cash. This diversification provides a solid financial foundation compared to many other organizations operating in the digital asset space.
This asset structure indicates that BitMine is not solely focused on a single cryptocurrency but has built a balanced portfolio, minimizing risks while maintaining a significant investment in Ethereum.
Market Outlook and Positive Signals from 2025
Tom Lee and BitMine’s analysis team see many factors supporting the crypto market’s recovery in 2025. Besides price stability, more crypto-friendly policies passed by the U.S. Congress and an increasingly clear legal environment have facilitated a strong return of institutional capital from Wall Street.
These factors explain why BitMine continues to buy crypto with high determination, as regulatory risks have significantly decreased. Currently, ETH is trading at $1.97K, up 1.75% in 24 hours, and experts believe this is an excellent time for long-term investors to continue accumulating crypto positions.
