Fake crypto recovery services are increasingly targeting victims of previous cryptocurrency scams.
Fraudsters pose as investigators, legal experts, or blockchain recovery specialists and promise to help recover stolen funds.
Victims are asked to pay upfront “recovery” or “processing” fees, but once the payment is made, the scammers disappear without recovering any assets.
