🤍The Fed says the impact of events in the Middle East is uncertain.
❗️The Federal Reserve maintains its forecasts for one interest rate cut in 2026 and one in 2027.
🤍The "scatter plot" of rate forecasts shows that the median policymaker is forecast to cut rates by 0.25 percentage points in 2026 and another 0.25 percentage points in 2027, consistent with forecasts made in December.
🤍Core inflation is projected to reach 2.7% by the end of 2026, up from the 2.5% forecast in December; GDP growth is expected to reach 2.4%, up from 2.3% previously.
🤍The Fed reiterates that "job growth remains subdued" and states that the unemployment rate has "virtually remained unchanged in recent months."
