RDAL: Approximately 9 million USR tokens held by the attacker have been destroyed, redemption functionality will be enabled for all USR tokens from before the incident
Techub News reports that Resolv Digital Assets has released an update on the USR incident. Currently, the related smart contracts have been paused. Approximately 9 million USR held by the attacker have been destroyed to reduce potential impact. Resolv protocol currently holds about $141 million in assets. The only confirmed impact so far is approximately $500,000 worth of redemptions processed before the pause. The current USR supply includes 102 million USR from before the incident and about 71 million newly minted illegal tokens. As the first step in the recovery process, the team is preparing to enable redemption for all USR before the incident, starting with whitelisted users. The targeted restart date is March 23. Affected users should contact RDAL directly through official channels.
This incident was caused by unauthorized third-party actions, including targeted infrastructure intrusions and cyberattacks. Resolv’s underlying collateral was not directly damaged. The team is actively tracking and attempting to contain the illegal minting of USR and other affected assets, coordinating with partners and counterparties, working with law enforcement and on-chain analysis firms to identify responsible parties. The team states they will take all feasible measures to recover assets and hold those responsible accountable.
