Mars Finance News, March 24 — Global strategist Berry from Macquarie Group, a major Australian bank, stated in a report that it is premature to have high expectations that a peace agreement in the Middle East will be reached within the next few days, as the parties still seem unable to agree on key demands. It is unrealistic to expect the U.S. to abandon its demands regarding Iran’s nuclear assets or to withdraw its bases in the Gulf region. Currently, it is also unlikely that Iran will give up support for its proxy forces. However, this war is unlikely to continue beyond mid-April, as Iran’s threat is likely to be neutralized by then. Once the threat is eliminated, the U.S. will have the upper hand in subsequent negotiations. (Jin10)
