Trump's approval rating falls to lowest since returning to White House, with only 36% of Americans approving of Trump's job performance
Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 25 — According to a survey by Reuters/Ipsos, due to soaring fuel prices and widespread public opposition to the Iran war initiated by the U.S., President Trump’s approval rating has recently fallen to its lowest since returning to the White House.
The four-day poll, which concluded on Monday, shows that 36% of Americans approve of Trump’s performance in office, down from 40% in a similar poll conducted last week.
Since the U.S.-Israel joint strike on Iran on February 28, gasoline prices have surged significantly, and Americans’ evaluations of Trump’s economic management and cost of living have worsened markedly. Only 25% of respondents approve of Trump’s handling of the cost of living, a key issue in his 2024 presidential campaign.
Across the nation, only 29% of Americans approve of Trump’s economic management, the lowest during his two terms as president and below any support rate Biden received in economic governance. Voters’ concerns about the economy, especially rising living costs, are a major factor in Biden’s potential defeat, while Trump has promised to create a prosperous economy during his campaign.
