Recently, one of those events that Mexico City organizes every year took place, and honestly, it’s worth paying attention to the next edition. The Día del Amor y la Amistad Night Ride was on February 21, and the truth is it gathered a lot of people eager to explore the capital in a different way.

The route was quite comprehensive: it started from Fuente de Petróleos, went through Reforma, crossed Chapultepec, and reached the Centro Histórico with an extension toward Plaza Tlaxcoaque. About 20 kilometers of route between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM. The best part is that you didn’t necessarily need to be on a bike: you could go rollerblading, skateboarding, or simply walking.

The CDMX Night Ride had a very festive atmosphere. There were people who decorated their bikes with lights, balloons, and hearts, so visually it was interesting. During the route, medical services, information booths, biciescuela for those wanting to learn safe riding, and even musical activities and fitness dances with a love theme were provided.

What people liked the most was that it was completely free and required no prior registration. Families, couples, friends—all were part of the vibe. If you didn’t go this time, it’s worth marking on your calendar for next year. It’s one of those plans the city offers to enjoy it in a different way, without spending money and outdoors.
