Trump 2.0: The Jungle-ized World Order
The second Trump administration in the United States has been in office for a year. The world will soon be dominated by the “jungle law” of the survival of the fittest. The submission of the weak will lead to the strengthening of the strong; the exercise of American power has begun to cross the line.
Japanese companies “donate” huge sums to the United States
It is claimed that, at the request of the American side, a large Japanese bank will provide 400 million yen to the U.S. Embassy in Japan. The reason is to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. This is a special, unprecedented “donation” even higher than the 50 million yen offered during the Noto Peninsula earthquake.
Japan’s large trading houses and major automakers have also entered their names in the donation ledger, and Japan’s donation amounts may exceed 10 billion yen. The United States has told the Japanese side that it will use the funds to throw a party. Japanese companies have questioned the rationale, but at the same time believe that “in today’s America in the Trump 2.0 era, no one can refuse.”

The Japanese Economic News agency and the Financial Times merged in November 2015 to become the same media group. The alliance between two newspaper publishers in Japan and the United Kingdom—both founded in the 19th century—is moving forward with broad cooperation in areas such as joint special features under the banner of “high-quality, the strongest economic journalism.” This time, as part of that effort, the two newspaper publishers have enabled article exchanges between their Chinese websites.
