April 1 news, according to CBS News, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said he is considering offering predictive market services to customers, but made it clear that it would not involve areas such as sports and politics. Former CFTC Commissioner Brian Quintenz responded on X that he believes it is “absurd” to think JPM will face risk due to specific election outcomes. He noted that with highly effective and regulated products already available, shareholders in the future may demand hedging strategies tailored to event risks such as elections, and compared it to interest rate risk management.
