Golden Finance reported that on April 3, Iran’s Armed Forces senior spokesperson, Sardar Shekaki, said late on the evening of April 2 local time that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to the United States and Israel. He said, “Our strategy is to punish the aggressors until they fully repent, and to ensure that the people of Iran are forever freed from threats.” Shekaki also responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks. He said Trump’s speech “is always full of contempt for the world,” and that the U.S. side’s decision to wage war on Iran is based on wrong estimates and calculations, and that it has committed aggression against the Iranian people without any justification. “We are waiting for the start of American ground operations, because we will give them a lesson.” (CCTV News)
