Anthropic is currently creating disruption and a paradigm shift in the software and cybersecurity sectors. The weakness in those 2 sectors is because of that. The announcement of Anthropic’s new autonomous AI agents, Claude Managed Agents, triggered the sharp sell off. The market moves based on perception at first, and unless that perception changes, the situation in those 2 sectors may not change either. I understand the others, but the selling in NET looked largely unnecessary to me and more like a short-term panic reaction. AI agents visit 1000 times more pages than human traffic. By 2027, AI bot traffic will surpass human traffic. Cloudflare manages 20% of global internet traffic, so this explosion goes directly into their network. Of course, if Managed Agents are highly capable of intrusion, could the negative impact become bigger because of that? At this stage, traditional cybersecurity tools may look insufficient to the market, or the first thing people do in fear is sell. But more threats = more need for defense, and that could still increase demand. But like I said, the market sells first and then observes
