Why do I get itchy hands and want to click on cross-chain? Honestly, it's the "fear of missing out" scratching me: seeing others switch over instantly, and casually participating in a new pool, I can't help but want to move my assets over and listen for a sound... and then I get hesitant again before confirming each time.
Today, I kept thinking about messages passing through IBC: who do you really trust for cross-chain communication? It's not just about the chain's consensus itself, but also whether you trust the light client/verification proof system to be correct, whether you trust the relayer (the runner) not to drop the chain, whether the channel and timeout parameters aren't stuck, and let alone whether the bridge's contract/multisig layer might suddenly be "under maintenance." Recently, there's been a main chain upgrade, and everyone in the group is guessing whether the ecosystem will migrate. I just want to say: whether to migrate or not, put that aside for now. Before crossing over, be clear about who you trust; it will keep your mindset much steadier. Anyway, I'll transfer a small amount first to test the waters, listen to the broadcast, then add more... yeah, that's it.
