But against all odds, the hacker begins publicly responding to PolyNetwork through memos recorded on the blockchain. The discussion becomes public.
The hacker claims he had no intention of stealing the funds.
He explains that he wanted to "expose the vulnerability" and "protect the funds before someone else did."
"I just wanted to have fun. Test your defenses. I will return the money if you promise to improve."
