Ethena Labs updates ENA tokenomics and will collaborate with Symbiotic and LayerZero to pilot the universal restaking module.
Ethena Labs stated that the tokenomics of ENA has been updated to introduce a universal stake function, allowing ENA to be staked in a universal re-staking pool. Its first use case is to provide economic security for the cross-chain transfer of USDe relying on the LayerZero DVN cross-chain messaging system. This is the first layer of the multi-layer infrastructure related to the upcoming Ethena Chain and the financial applications built on this chain. The staked ENA and sUSDe will become the first batch of newly available assets deposited in Symbiotic, and the initial LST cap will be fully filled within one hour. Ethena will pilot a universal staking framework with Symbiotic and LayerZero to ensure the cross-chain transfer of Ethena (including USDe and sUSDe), which will be verified through the LayerZero DVN network protected by the staked ENA in Symbiotic. The ENA staked in Symbiotic will receive daily rewards in the form of 30 times the points per ENA, Symbiotic Points, Mellow Points, and potential future LayerZero RFP allocations. The ENA pool will go live on June 26th. Starting from June 17th, any user who receives ENA through an airdrop will need to lock at least 50% of the claimable ENA from Lock, Pendle, and Restake. Otherwise, all unclaimed ENA in the relevant wallet will be reallocated to other locked users.
