Abstract generation in progress

A jury in the Eastern District of New York convicted former SafeMoon CEO Braden John Karony on May 21 of three felony counts: conspiracy to defraud the United States, money laundering and wire fraud. Prosecutors charged Karony with former technologist Thomas Smith and project founder Kyle Nagy for allegedly misappropriating millions of dollars in SFM tokens in 2023. Smith has pleaded guilty and testified in court, and Nagy is currently at large, allegedly absconding to Russia. (Cointelegraph)
