According to the emergency department of Chelyabinsk Oblast, the Kialim Reservoir dam in the oblast burst due to the continuous heavy rainfall. The dam of the reservoir is about 500 meters long, and the burst is about 100 meters long. Given the significantly increased risk of flooding in the four villages downstream of the reservoir, the Karabash City government, where the reservoir is located, immediately declared a state of emergency in the area. Currently, one of the four villages downstream of the reservoir has been flooded, and the remaining three villages are undergoing precautionary evacuation.
