Jupiter's request to import mnemonic phrases to claim ASR rewards sparks community opposition

Odaily Planet Daily reports that SolanaFloor posted on the X platform stating that Jupiter’s introduction of ASR rewards for stakers in Q4 has sparked strong opposition from the community. The reward requires users to import their mnemonic phrases into the Jupiter wallet to claim it via mobile or desktop. Some users have stated that forcing users to export their mnemonic phrases to claim small rewards is neither safe nor necessary, and it also excludes users of keyless wallets or custodial wallets.

In response to the criticism, Jupiter stated that they plan to enable claim functions for other wallets within one to two weeks.
