Trump: Currently no plans to deploy ground troops in Iran

Gate News Report, March 8 — U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Miami, Florida, that the United States currently has no plans to deploy ground troops in Iran and that the issue is “not suitable for public discussion.” Trump stated that if ground action is taken in the future, there must be “very compelling reasons,” and potential targets could include Iran’s nuclear facilities or energy infrastructure. He emphasized that the U.S. is currently mainly relying on airstrikes to target Iran. Additionally, Trump expressed his desire to prevent Kurdish forces from intervening in the Iran conflict to avoid further complicating the situation.
