0G Labs Twitter account compromised, warning about phishing links

Abstract generation in progress

On October 5th, the official Twitter account of 0G Labs was hacked, according to BlockBeats. This incident has led to the distribution of suspicious links that could be harmful to users. Extreme caution is advised and users should avoid clicking on any links shared from this account until further notice.

The situation is causing concern in the crypto community, where phishing attacks have sadly become common. Hackers use compromised legitimate accounts to gain the trust of users and steal their digital assets.

The comments on the original post show mixed reactions. While some users appreciate the warning, others express skepticism about the project in general. One user even suggests that it could be a self-hack, a tactic that I have unfortunately seen too many times in this space.

I wonder how many users have fallen into the trap before the alert was issued. The speed at which these attackers operate is alarming, and by the time we find out, the damage may already be done.

This situation reinforces my conviction that we need better security protocols on social media, especially when they are linked to financial assets. How many more incidents will we have to see before effective solutions are implemented?
