Two major Chinese tech giants are making moves to secure Nvidia's latest H200 AI chips following a surprising policy shift. After the Trump administration greenlit exports to China, both companies jumped at the opportunity, though they're now in a holding pattern.

Industry insiders revealed that the firms have been actively positioning themselves to acquire these high-performance chips. The H200 represents a significant leap in AI processing capabilities, making it a hot commodity for companies racing to scale their machine learning operations.

Here's the catch: while Washington gave the nod, Beijing's approval process is still pending. This dual-clearance requirement highlights the complex geopolitical dance that now defines tech supply chains. The waiting game continues as both regulatory frameworks need to align before any shipments can move forward.

Ha, it's the same old political tug-of-war trick... Washington says yes, but Beijing hasn't spoken yet. Feels like it's more of a bottleneck than the chips themselves. Now both sides have to wait, really ironic. But if H200 can really be obtained, it's considered good luck. Beijing will take it slow; there's no use rushing anyway.

Whether this can truly be implemented remains to be seen; if the U.S. gives the green light, Beijing is still pretending to work...

Huazi guys, now you really have to wait. The US nodded, but Beijing hasn't responded yet.
