Traditional finance heavyweight makes its move—and Solana gets the nod.

Last December 10th, State Street Investment Management teamed up with Galaxy Digital to drop some news: they're rolling out SWEEP, a tokenized liquidity fund, and it's landing on Solana sometime in 2026.

What's interesting here isn't just another fund launch. It's watching a Wall Street titan pick its blockchain horse. State Street didn't go with Ethereum or some private chain—they're betting on Solana's infrastructure for this one.

SWEEP represents that ongoing blur between old-school finance and crypto rails. Tokenized funds, on-chain settlement, institutional players dipping their toes deeper into public blockchains. The pieces keep clicking into place.

2026 might seem far off, but these moves don't happen overnight. Regulatory boxes to check, tech integration to nail down, partnerships to formalize. By the time SWEEP goes live, the landscape could look even different than it does now.

Still, the message is clear: major institutions aren't just watching anymore. They're building.

SOL has once again been selected by traditional finance, but it won't go live until 2026... We have to wait two years to see the show. Can it really last until then?

Sol really won big this time. Wall Street big players chose Sol over ETH. What does this mean, brother?
