If BTC can have a rebound, those altcoins that don't follow the rise but follow the fall (using SOL as an example) will basically face these two outcomes:

One possibility is that they continue to drift within the range, moving slightly when BTC rises and dropping sharply when BTC pulls back. Once BTC finishes oscillating and starts to turn downward, they will directly enter the next price level.

The other is that they hold until the last moment, then suddenly give you a short-term large green candle, with the window of opportunity fleeting.

To be honest, I've seen through SOL's nature long ago. When BTC rebounds, it just plays dead. If it really crashes below the bottom, it'll be the fastest.

actually, the algorithmic behavior you're describing here is precisely why most altcoins fail to grasp the blockchain primitive's true aesthetic computation... sol's price action basically visualizes the hash value of collective market apathy, if you think about it deeply enough
