The two things in this world that are hardest to face are the sun and human nature!

This afternoon, I posted a comment saying "The so-called first sword to land on the shore is to cut down the one you love," but it's not entirely correct.

Some people argue with me. On one hand, they think I'm defending men; on the other hand, they believe I care more about my friends being willing to leave everything behind, rather than their marriages.

What I want to say is that many people are unhappy because they love to deceive themselves. When I say "the first sword to land on the shore is to cut down the one you love," first of all, about the phrase "the one you love"—you could say that once they land on the shore, they abandon their crutches, but how can you be sure that they were your true love from the start?

Secondly, I think that the friends around me who are willing to leave everything behind to compensate their ex-wives are not necessarily outstanding people. It’s just that, comparatively, some may not only abandon their support but even burden their women with debt; they are not necessarily bad people.

I have a sister friend who has been with her husband for ten years. Recently, her husband not only cheated on her during her pregnancy but also demanded she leave everything behind. The most ridiculous part is that he even asked her to return the bride price. The world is darker and dirtier than you imagine.

Sometimes, choosing the right person to marry doesn’t necessarily mean they are rich or capable. The most important thing is their character. Ultimately, people have to coexist with others at their lowest points.

Even if in the end, the fate doesn’t allow the relationship to continue, it shouldn’t make you doubt this world or doubt all people.

We need to understand human nature first so that we can protect ourselves properly, instead of covering our ears and deceiving ourselves!
