Spot trading newbie reporting in. Calculated the fees to be about 17U, and I was quite optimistic at the time, thinking there was a chance to make a profit. But what happened? I completely underestimated the trading costs, acting like a big smart guy in front of everyone. After a series of operations, I ended up giving a red envelope to a leading platform.

Just asking everyone, has anyone else like me experienced a failure? Or does anyone have even more outrageous fee calculations? I really need some psychological comfort.

Oh my god, the fee was 17U. How much profit do I need to break even?

Damn, 17U fee? Last time I lost so much that I doubted my life, and only then did I understand what self-cultivation as a rookie really means.

17U has already been bitten by transaction fees, and this is just the beginning, brother.

It should be pointed out that your case is a textbook example of the "Fiat Currency Thinking Trap." Let's return to the fundamental thinking of Satoshi Nakamoto's white paper: transaction costs are never invisible but are transparent and verifiable on-chain data. Your miscalculation essentially reflects a lack of understanding of market mechanisms. Does 17U fee sound outrageous? Based on the following arguments, this precisely indicates that your trading volume and risk tolerance are severely mismatched—it's obvious that small, frequent trades are essentially giving money to the exchange. This is not the platform's fault; it's a logical error on your part. Let me say this: true traders consider the fee structure as a prerequisite for strategy, not as an afterthought. Your current "psychological comfort" need is fundamentally about seeking approval rather than genuine insight. I recommend reading the white paper on Uniswap's slippage mechanism; it might change your understanding of costs.

Bro, I'm just gonna be honest. What's the big deal about a 17U fee? My last trade had a 45U slippage, and I'm still reflecting on life.

A fee of 17U is still optimistic. Man, your mindset is really strong, haha.

Haha, 17U already started to panic. Last time, I lost three digits in a single blow before I woke up.
