Tom Lee Reveals His Bitcoin Forecast for January
Tom Lee, founder of Fundstrat and head of Bitmine, famous for his predictions about Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), has just announced his new forecasts. In an interview with CNBC, Tom Lee predicts that BTC could reach a new all-time high this month. Lee believes that Bitcoin has not yet peaked and it is too early to conclude that Ethereum or other cryptocurrencies have reached their all-time highs. Mr. Lee stated that he predicts 2026 will be a volatile but very positive year, but warns that a short-term correction may occur in the first half of the year due to corporate rebalancing. However, Lee believes that the ongoing portfolio rebalancing at the institutional level will lay the foundation for a strong rally expected in the second half of 2026. “I don’t believe Bitcoin has reached its peak.” I don’t think Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies have peaked. 2026 will be a volatile year, but overall very positive. There may be short-term volatility in the first half of the year as institutional investors adjust their portfolios. However, this situation could serve as a stepping stone for a significant increase expected in the second half of the year.” Investment expert Tom Lee also commented that Ethereum’s current price movement is similar to Bitcoin’s strong rally from 2017 to 2021, and ETH is ready for an extraordinary performance this year. Lee concluded about the overall cryptocurrency market: “The current corrections and volatility are more of a preparation for the next bull phase rather than a sign of weakening the upward trend.”
