That one time I lost 980,000 in a liquidation, I sat in front of the screen for half an hour without moving. LUNA dropped to zero directly, and my account plummeted from a high point to the bottom, leaving only 30,000 USDT. But it was also at that moment that I decided to change my way of life — no longer hoping for a miracle to get rich overnight, but to focus on surviving first.
After I started thinking about position scaling, things took a turn. Others said high risk, but I went all in. In just six months, that 30,000 USDT grew to 1.57 million USDT. It sounds crazy, but there are actually just a few iron rules behind it: never risk more than 10% on the first trade, if I start with 3000U and lose 150U, I cut immediately, anyone who advises me to wait longer gets blocked, and the first thing I do after making money is to withdraw the principal and only reinvest the profits to keep playing. Sounds ruthless? But it really works.
How did I play that ETH rebound? I did four rounds of position scaling. The first round, I invested 3000 and made 900, then added another 1350U to continue trading. The position kept growing, but I never rushed blindly. Each addition was funded by previous profits, and the principal remained untouched. Even if I blew up, I wouldn’t die. The key was timing the last addition — miss it, and everything’s gone. I just happened to hit the right moment.
Honestly, many people can’t turn things around, not because they don’t know how to trade, but because they’re afraid to add to their positions even when the direction is right. They make some profit and panic, or they sell at the slightest pullback, so their profits never get big.
I’ve also suffered big losses on take-profit. During the FTX crash, I was holding over 370,000 USDT and reluctant to sell. As a result, within a day, it dropped back to 120,000. That feeling was even worse than a liquidation. Since then, I only trust one rule: when the gain reaches 15%, move the stop-loss up by 12%. Once the trend breaks, I exit immediately, no more imagining rebounds.
I don’t talk about secret trading strategies or fancy technical analysis. I only believe in one principle: use the profits to gamble for more, and lock in the principal with strict rules. Can you learn this method? Yes, but only if you’re willing to be ruthless, not greedy, brave enough to cut positions, add positions, and hold through the swings.
If you’re currently losing and hoping to turn things around with one more trade, you’ll always be the counterparty I was when I blew up with 30,000 USDT. The crypto world never rewards emotional traders; it only rewards those with strong execution. You might be in the same position I was back then, but my current results are probably within reach if you just go all out one more time.
