The truth about account collapse in the crypto world: the problem has never been the market, but that uncontrollable heart.

The longer you stay in the crypto circle, the more you see through a reality — account shrinkage, 80-90% of which comes from your own decision-making collapse.

You master market analysis and candlestick theory thoroughly, but once real money is involved, you immediately reveal your true nature. Making a small profit, you think about getting rich overnight, rushing to add positions, buy the dip, and stubbornly hold onto losing orders; losing a small amount, you become panicked, afraid of missing the rebound, and suddenly throw in heavy positions. Knowing you should exit, but deceiving yourself into thinking "the next wave must recover."

The final outcome? Profits are all lost back, the principal is almost entirely eaten away, leaving only one person sighing at the candlestick chart.

I once saw a trader who operated methodically for the first three months, consistently making profits each month. I advised him not to be greedy and to reduce trading frequency. He wouldn’t listen. After a small gain, he started to inflate — frequently adding to positions, blindly topping up, holding through all floating losses. Thinking he had discovered some secret. When the market turned, his account was wiped out, and months of profits vanished in a night.

This is the most heartbreaking curse in the crypto world: it’s not that you don’t know how to make money, but that once you do, greed and impatience instantly take over your mind.

Those who can go far in the crypto world never rely on some superb trading techniques; they rely on just three things —

Take profits and withdraw, no matter how tempting. If you don’t understand the market, better to stay out and observe rather than guess blindly. When your mind is heated, immediately step away from the trading interface.

A true expert isn’t the “trading fanatic” busy placing orders every day, but someone who deeply understands the lesson of “when not to do anything.”

Whether you can preserve your principal depends on your execution; whether you can control your emotions depends on how far you can go. When the rhythm stabilizes, opportunities will come naturally, one after another.

Damn, isn't that talking about me? Three months ago I was still bragging about finding some secret...

That really hits home. I'm the kind of fool who wants to double my earnings as soon as I make a little.

That's so true, it's the problem of the inner demon. I've also fallen into this trap myself—getting cocky after a small profit, and then losing everything in a wave. Now I've learned my lesson: strictly take profits and cut losses, it's better to miss out than to be greedy.

That’s such a heart-wrenching statement. I am the one who wants to tenfold my earnings after making a little profit. --- It's all my own doing, there's nothing to say. --- I just can't do the empty position observation; every time I want to catch the bottom, I end up buying halfway up the mountain. --- It's easy to see through these principles, but when it comes to actually executing, your mind just doesn't listen to you. --- The last sentence is brilliant. Staying steady is truly the foundation of everything. --- My buddy also did the same—profited in March, went all-in in April, and is still regretting it. --- Greed is even more destructive than market fluctuations. --- Don’t ask me how I know; ask me about the blood, sweat, and tears I’ve personally experienced.

Basically, it's all about mindset. No matter how much theory you have, it's useless if you can't get past this hurdle. I've seen too many people get cocky after making a little profit, only to see the market wipe it all out in one wave, bringing them back to square one. The key is to control your impulses—really.
