Ignore most of the narratives you see on social media.

From my experience, the average Hausa man is warm, open, and easy to relate with.
After the #EnuguTechFestival, I stopped to buy suya for Achalugo. One of my guys spoke Hausa to the seller, Yakubu, and he quickly packed the suya.
What surprised me was this, he handed it over and walked back to his spot, simply giving me his account number for payment.
I was honestly shocked. I asked, “How did he know I would transfer the money?”
My guy just smiled and said,
“An average Hausa man will trust you easily, especially when you speak his language.”
That moment reminded me of something important, Nigeria is truly a beautiful country.
It’s not the people that are the problem. Too often, it’s the system and the politics that create division.
