Robocar responded to the “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily” that it has temporarily suspended autonomous driving testing and commercial operations within the UAE. Robocar stated that this suspension is to cooperate with the unified deployment of relevant UAE authorities and to effectively ensure travel safety and operational order. The company has made proper arrangements for the local team to ensure the safety and stability of employees. Currently, it is maintaining close communication with local regulatory agencies and partners, and will strictly follow official guidance to resume related business operations in a timely manner. It is reported that Robocar is accelerating its autonomous driving business expansion in the UAE. In January this year, Robocar officially launched full autonomous commercial operations for the public in Abu Dhabi, and obtained the first fully autonomous testing permit in Dubai.
