A major steel mill in Indonesia has increased stainless steel export prices by $15/ton, and post-holiday restocking has begun.

According to SMM, as the Lunar New Year’s eighth day marks the official start of work and the market fully resumes operations, a major stainless steel manufacturer today raised its Indonesia stainless steel export prices by $15 per ton. This price adjustment is mainly supported by the upward shift in raw material costs, while the post-holiday inventory replenishment demand also further boosts the steel mills’ willingness to maintain prices, indicating a generally strong market sentiment after the resumption of work.
