Trina Solar's net profit loss in 2025 is 6.994 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase in losses

Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Ma Huanhuan, Li Jiaxue) reported on the evening of February 26 that Trina Solar (688599) released its 2025 performance forecast, showing that during the reporting period, the company achieved a total operating revenue of approximately 67.279 billion yuan, a decrease of 16.2% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders was approximately -6.994 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase in losses.

Trina Solar stated that during the reporting period, the photovoltaic industry still faced a phase of supply and demand imbalance. The operating rates across the industry chain were at low levels, market competition further intensified, and the ongoing impact of international trade protection policies added pressure. In the first half of the year, photovoltaic product prices were generally under pressure compared to the same period last year. Although prices gradually increased in the second half as the industry pushed forward internal competition reduction efforts, the company’s module business profitability declined compared to the previous year due to the rapid rise in costs of key raw materials such as silicon and silver paste. The company’s operating performance for 2025 remains in loss. Additionally, the company conducted impairment tests on long-term assets showing signs of impairment and will recognize asset impairment provisions according to accounting standards, which will have a certain impact on performance.
