Rida Futures: Overall demand for live pigs shifts to the off-season after the holiday

During the Spring Festival, live pig spot prices declined. Starting from the fourth and fifth days, the breeding sector gradually resumed slaughtering. Currently, market demand is still in the phase of consuming pre-holiday stockpiles, with slaughter volume remaining low, and overall demand entering the off-season after the holiday. The live pig market shows a supply surplus and weak demand pattern, and prices are expected to fluctuate weakly after the holiday. In the futures market, the main live pig contract 2605 opened with a gap down, falling more than 2.21%, reaching a low of 11,230 yuan/ton. Attention should be paid to the rhythm of breeding, slaughtering, and market release. (Ruida Futures)
