Beigang Market Thermal Coal Prices Steady with Slight Strength

On February 13, the North Port Market thermal coal prices remained stable with a slight upward trend. Prices for large group external purchases were updated and increased by 9-10 yuan/ton. Some market quotes yesterday rose by 5-10 yuan/ton. Spot traders are holding back and reluctant to sell, with low-calorie coal prices increasing more significantly. The demand-driven purchases are pushing the transaction focus upward, but actual transactions remain limited. Downstream inquiries and price checks are generally moderate, and the market outlook requires ongoing attention to port inventory depletion rates and actual transaction conditions. As of February 12, the inventory at the eight ports in the Bohai Rim was 22.85 million tons, an increase of 80,000 tons day-on-day. (My Steel Network)
