The Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, Wang Xiaoping, stated at the press conference on the theme of people’s livelihood during the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress on March 7 that efforts will be strengthened through coordinated actions to implement stable employment, expansion, and quality improvement initiatives.
For “stability,” support will be increased for labor-intensive industries such as foreign trade, construction, and hospitality to stabilize jobs while promoting industry development.
For “expansion,” employment potential in digital economy, high-end manufacturing, and modern services will be tapped to expand capacity through industrial upgrading.
For “quality,” the mechanism for adjusting minimum wage standards will be implemented, the order of the human resources market will be regulated, and the wage payment security system for migrant workers will be fully enforced to enhance quality through strengthened rights protection.
