People’s Financial News, March 9 — On March 9, Han Jun, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated at the second “Minister’s Passage” during the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress that currently, in Chinese residents’ food consumption, there is high oil intake, but low consumption of beans and dairy. The per capita cooking oil consumption exceeds the recommended amount by 40%, while the per capita dairy consumption is only one-third of the global average. The intake of soybeans and soy products is less than 60% of the recommended amount. We suggest reducing oil intake appropriately, increasing bean consumption, and adding more dairy.
