China Academy of Information and Communications Technology Releases "New Generation Intelligent Terminal Blue Book (2025)"

People’s Financial News, March 16 — Recently, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) officially released the “Next-Generation Smart Terminal Blue Paper (2025): From ‘Artificial Intelligence + Terminal’ to Artificial Intelligence Terminals.” The blue paper states that the new generation of smart terminals has achieved a paradigm shift from “Artificial Intelligence + Terminal” to AI terminals and is entering a new stage of large-scale commercial use. These new smart terminals are not only the result of technological innovation but also key carriers for the country to cultivate new productive forces and promote deep industry integration. Artificial intelligence is no longer an auxiliary function of the terminal but is deeply integrated into chips, operating systems, perception interactions, and connectivity architectures as the core of intelligence. Under the guidance of national strategies, products such as AI phones, AI PCs, and AI wearable devices are accelerating into thousands of households. Among them, the intelligent service capabilities of AI phones continue to evolve, reaching the level of intelligent assistants; AI PCs are moving from initial exploration to mature commercial stages and are becoming a key force to empower individual productivity upgrades.
