Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 18 — Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), posted on X platform in support of prediction market Kalshi. He stated that Arizona Attorney General filed criminal charges related to a registered exchange with the CFTC involving prediction markets. This move essentially constitutes a jurisdictional dispute, and elevating it to criminal prosecution is “completely inappropriate.” The CFTC is closely monitoring the development of the case and assessing possible responses.

Earlier, it was reported that Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes filed criminal charges against Kalshi, accusing the prediction market platform of operating unlicensed gambling activities in violation of state law.
