Hello

CryptoWorld News: Ethereum developer Julian has introduced the “Fast Confirmation Rule” (FCR), which reduces deposit confirmation times from approximately 13 minutes on Ethereum L1 to about 13 seconds on L2 and centralized exchanges, an improvement of 80%–98%. It is expected to be implemented and launched across various consensus layer clients in the coming months without the need for hard forks. Vitalik Buterin commented on this rule, stating that the new fast confirmation mechanism can provide a hard guarantee after one slot (12 seconds), ensuring that Ethereum will not rollback. The security assumption of this mechanism is that the majority of honest nodes have network latency below approximately 3 seconds. Although it is below the level of economic finality, it is sufficiently strong for many use cases.
