President Trump of the United States stated on the 17th at the White House that Washington is “not yet ready” to end the war with Iran.

Trump said, “We are not ready to leave (the war) at the moment, but we will withdraw troops in the near future.”

When asked whether the White House has a “post-war” plan, Trump did not disclose details, only reiterating that since the U.S. and Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran on February 28th, Iran has suffered heavy losses in all aspects.

Trump said he is not worried that sending U.S. ground troops into Iran would become another Vietnam for America.

Some analysts say that if Washington plans to seize Iran’s main oil export hub, Khark Island, and strike an underground facility in Isfahan believed to store most of Iran’s nuclear materials, the U.S. or Israel may need to conduct ground operations.

US Media: US Military Plans to Mass-Produce Iranian Suicide Drones

According to The Wall Street Journal on the 17th, senior officials from the U.S. Department of Defense said that the Pentagon hopes to mass-produce a type of Iranian suicide drone for use in the Iran conflict.

The report states that this drone is called “Lukas,” a replica of Iran’s “Witness” drone. The U.S. military deployed the “Lukas” drone in the Middle East late last year, but did not disclose the number of drones already in combat.

Citing Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Emil Michael, the report says that the “Lukas” drone has performed very well so far and has proven to be a useful tool in the arsenal. The U.S. has improved this drone over the past few years and made it capable of mass production.

Michael said that the U.S. “Ghost Factory” has manufactured dozens of “Lukas” drones.

The report did not disclose the production cost of this drone.
