Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, German Lufthansa Group, Air France-KLM Group, and other airlines have announced extensions of flight suspensions for some regular commercial flights in the region. Lufthansa Group includes Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, and Brussels Airlines. On the 9th, the company announced it would suspend takeoffs and landings at Dammam in Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE until March 15; flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, will be suspended at least until April 2. It is understood that flights from Lufthansa to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, as well as Larnaca in Cyprus, will operate as scheduled. However, according to previous notices from some Middle Eastern airlines, relevant authorities may adjust airspace openings based on the situation, which could lead to rapid changes in flight schedules.
