Abstract generation in progress

Recently, the AEP100 liquid hydrogen fuel turboprop engine, independently developed by the Hydrogen Energy Aviation Power Team of the China Aviation Power Research Institute, completed ignition and performance debugging tests based on a ground test environment. During the test, all indicators of the engine and liquid hydrogen transport system were normal, and it operated stably under all conditions, achieving the first domestic megawatt-level liquid hydrogen fuel aviation engine performance standards. It is reported that liquid hydrogen, with its extremely high energy density and zero carbon emission characteristics, is considered an ideal path for deep decarbonization in the aviation industry. This test verified the technical feasibility of liquid hydrogen aviation engines and marked a breakthrough in key technologies for liquid hydrogen fuel aviation turbine power in China, laying a solid foundation for the transition of liquid hydrogen turbine power from the experimental stage to engineering application stage.
