CIMC Group: Expect the offshore engineering business to see rapid growth in future profits and scale

On March 27, People’s Finance News reported that during the 2025 annual performance briefing, executives from CIMC Group stated that the current offshore engineering market is recovering, and the company is negotiating many orders and planning to expand production, expecting the profitability and scale of the offshore engineering business to grow rapidly in the future. In addition, the drilling platform market is expected to recover in 2026, with demand and utilization rates also showing significant improvement. As offshore energy transitions, liquefied natural gas will continue to strengthen its leading position, and it is anticipated that by 2033, LNG-powered vessels will account for over 60%, with fuel sources like methanol and ammonia continuing to penetrate the market.
