People’s Finance News, March 27: On March 27, Wanda Film & Television stated in an institutional research survey that in 2026, in addition to actively promoting investment projects’ filming, production, and release, the company will leverage its end-to-end industry chain advantages to strongly develop platform-based distribution business. On the one hand, the company will focus on advancing the distribution of commercial big-budget films. In addition to the joint releases of “Flying Past Life 3” and “Boonie Bears: Year of the Bears” during the Chinese New Year holiday season, this year the company will also serve as the lead distributor for “Sunshine Girls Chorus,” “Wild Forbidden Land,” “Turning Flowers Bloom,” “Wangpu Opening Guide,” “Cold War 1994,” “Cold War 1995,” and jointly distribute film projects such as “Welcome to Long Restaurant.” On the other hand, the company will continue to expand cooperation in the field of joint promotional publicity for imported films. Currently, the film “The Supreme Marty,” which received 9 nominations at the 98th Academy Awards and is being jointly promoted, is playing in theaters. The company will also actively try distribution models with multiple screening channels. For example, for the same IP project, it will be released in Wanda Cinemas in the form of a series of films, and at the same time be released on streaming platforms in the form of a TV series, achieving the maximization of content value through dual spaces and multiple formats.
